Michael Peña has landed the lead role in Fox’s drama pilot The List, TVLine has learned.
From Daybreak creator Paul Zbyszewski and Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer, the prospective series revolves around a U.S. Marshals Service inspector investigating the murders of several members of the Federal Witness Security Program.

The Eastbound & Down/Shield alum stars as Soto, the “oddly charismatic” inspector leading the charge. While Soto’s tendency to obsessively fixate on things is a day-to-day struggle, his disorder helps him protect witnesses and makes him one of the most focused and purposeful investigators in the service.
Most frequently seen on the big screen, Peña’s other credits include End of Watch, Observe and Report and Crash.
