If there needed to be further evidence of the growing enthusiasm in the West for eSports, League of Legends may have just set some sort of unofficial record for most tickets to a live event sold in the shortest amount of time. In about an hour after they went on sale, tickets to October's World Championship Final event in LA's Staples Center were sold out. And already they're popping up on StubHub for dramatically inflated prices in the hundreds of dollars.

Music Producer Dr. Luke Getting Third Judge Spot On 'American Idol'

Despite other names surfacing over the past week, I’ve learned that Dr. Luke is closing a deal to join Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez as the third judge on the upcoming 13th season of Fox’s American Idol. Additionally, original Idol judge Randy Jackson continues negotiations to replace Jimmy Iovine as in-house mentor.

Related: Dr. Luke In Negotiations For 'American Idol' Judge Gig

When Dr. Luke’s name first surfaced as a leading contender for a judge gig on Idol, the news prompted headlines like “Dr. Who?” But while the general public may not be familiar with Dr. Luke, they are very familiar with a lot of his work.

Related: Jennifer Lopez's 'American Idol' Return Is On, Says Boyfriend In Apparent Slip

Dr. Luke (real name Lukasz Gottwald) is one of the hottest producer-songwriters. He has more than 20 songs that have debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100, and his biggest hits include Kelly Clarkson's "Since U Been Gone", Flo Rida's "Right Round", Kei$ha's "Tik Tok", Katy Perry's "California Gurls", "I Kissed A Girl", "Teenage Dream", "Hot n Cold" and Part Of Me", Taio Cruz's "Dynamite", Avril Lavigne's "Girlfriend" and Britney Spears' "Circus". Dr. Luke actually is a familiar face to some TV buffs as he started off as lead guitarist on Saturday Night Live‘s house band.

And with Dr. Luke’s hire Idol is going back to its roots, betting on a unknown to the public top music producer as a judge — just as it did with Simon Cowell in 2002.

The Behind the Scenes Pic of the Day - On the Set of Terminator 2: Judgment Day

Stan Winston collaborator Shane Mahan fits Arnold Schwarzenegger with a cybernetic arm in this behind the scenes picture from the making of James Cameron's Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today's Behind the Scenes Pic!
Terminator 2: Judgment Day was one of my youthful obsessions. It was the first film I saw more than once in a theater and it was a family favorite. When you're 10 years old it becomes crucial that your parents like an R-rated movie if you're going to see it theatrically. At least if you were like me and didn't have an older brother to tell you about the buying a ticket to a PG movie and sneaking in trick.
I wore out my T2 VHS, dreamed about having my own Terminator and all the stuff little geeky boys of my era did, so it feels a bit nostalgic posting BTS pictures from the film. It feels especially weird since I've had the opportunity to converse with both men in today's picture.
At the recent AICN screening of The Last Stand I got to ask Arnold Schwarzenegger a question about returning to Conan, which made my day, and I talked a bit with Shane Mahan after Stan Winston passed. Shane was one of Winston's closest partners at Stan Winston Studios and has been running Legacy Effects since.
Shane's a good guy and yes, he does look shockingly like Kenneth Branagh in person. Anyway, the picture we have today is of Shane helping the severely battle damaged T-800 into his messed up arm rig.
Thanks to Michael Heintzelman and the Practical Effects Group for the image. Enjoy!

With "The Grandmaster" hitting theaters, the TOH! team reviews and ranks the best of Hong Kong auteur Wong Kar-wai, whose output is just ten features (along with many shorts) since 1988. But first, we have an introduction to Wong's oeuvre from Asia Film wonk David Chute: Origin Story: Wong Kar-wai BeginsI first saw Wong Kar-wai's early movies over thirty years ago, in theaters in Los Angeles' Chinatown and the San Gabriel Valley, when they were first released in the 1980s. I knew him, you could say, before he was Wong Kar-wei.Wong made his debut as a director in 1988, several months after a "midsection" supplement of articles I had edited, "Made in Hong Kong," was published in "Film Comment.
