SHE'S BACK
Jul 6th 2013, 14:28, by Matthew Jacobs

Chugging along through her seventh decade in show business, Sophia Loren is set to make a return to the big screen in what's shaping up to be a family affair.

The 78-year-old Oscar winner will star in another of son Edoardo Ponti's feature films, following her leading role in 2002's "Beautiful Strangers." Now Loren will take on a film version of Jean Cocteau's one-woman play "The Human Voice," set to be staged in Italian ("La Voce Umana"), according to Deadline.com.

"Voice" depicts a woman whose lover of five years is set to marry someone else, and the mental breakdown she endures because of it. The film will shoot for three months in Rome, Naples and Ostia.

Loren's return to the silver screen marks her first live-action feature film since 2009's "Nine." The actress has mostly laid low in recent years. Her last Oscar nomination came in 1964 for "Marriage Italian-Style," four years after she took home Best Actress for "Two Women."
