Richard T. Jones has joined the cast of yet another unnecessary Godzilla reboot - this one to be directed by Gareth Edwards for Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros.
Jones joins a cast that already includes Aaron Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Bryan Cranston, David Strathairn, Juliette Binoche and Ken Watanabe, in a film that'll tell the story of the giant radioactive monster called Godzilla, who awakens from eons of sleep and attacks a city.
The script was worked on by a trio of writers including Max Borenstein, Frank Darabont and Dave Callaham.
Shooting is underway, with a May 2014 release date eyed.
Further details on plot and character assignments are being kept under-wraps for now. Although I'm sure the pressing question on all your minds is, regardless of what character Jones will play, will he eventually succumb to the so-called "brotha rule," and if so, how early/late in the movie do you think Godzilla bite off his head?
And if you're not familiar with the "brotha rule" joke, look it up!
Last we saw Jones, he appeared on the small screen in TV shows like Nikita and Hawaii Five-0. Up next, is the Fox crime drama pilot The List.
He's staying busy, and that's the important thing!
