Hannah Fidell‘s debut feature premiered at Sundance this year and stars Lindsay Burdge and Will Brittain as a high school teacher and the student with which begins an affair. Part psychological thriller and part provocative character study, A Teacher follows Burdge’s Diana as she becomes consumed by her emotions, crossing boundaries and acting out in progressively startling ways. Oscilloscope Laboratories acquired the film right after Sundance and will release it theatrically and on-demand September 6. Here’s the first trailer:
