Don Omar Sued For Portraying Over-The-Top Lifestyle?
Feb 28th 2013, 21:37

International reggaeton star Don Omar has been sued for doing what it is expected of every famous rapper: hang out in a fancy yacht filled with beautiful women.

According to gossip website TMZ, the Puerto Rican singer is in trouble for using a yacht illegally for his popular "Danza Kuduro" video.

The lawsuit states the production of the video filmed a bunch of girls wearing skimpy bikinis on board of "Le Reve," but never asked for permission to do so. Although the star is never seen fully inside of the ship, a scene does show him approaching the models, which greet and follow him.

The Portuguese company that owns the yacht is now suing Don Omar, his record company, and the production house behind the filming for trespass and defamation. The owners assured they suffered damages after the ship appeared in the video promoting a "fast, lavish, over-the-top lifestyle," TMZ reports.

Besides singing, William Omar LandrĂ³n (real name of the artist) who also is referred to as "El Rey", is also an entrepreneur and an actor, and was part of the "Fast and the Furious" movie sequel.

This is not the first time LandrĂ³n has had problems with the law, in 2004 he had also been arrested on drug and weapon charges in his hometown Puerto Rico. The case was later dropped by a judge.
