Yesterday we had a look at the Russian Jaeger (ie giant man controlled robot) “Cherno Alpha from Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim and today it’s a “character” poster for the Chinese Jaeger “Crimson Typhoon.” Charlie Hunnam, Charlie Day, Idris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi, Robert Kazinsky, Ron Perlman, Max Martini, Clifton Collins, Jr., Burn Gorman, Larry Joe Campbell, Diego Klattenhoff, and Brad William Henke all star.
In theaters July 12, “When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. Is it me or are we entering Transformers-land here? There’s a series of giant robot posters, which doesn’t get me excited. I want to know more about the monsters…I hope they deliver in spades!
