David Letterman will be staying up Late for the foreseeable future.

The funnyman on Friday extended his contract with CBS and the Late Show through 2015.

“There is only one Dave, and we are extremely proud that he continues to call CBS ‘home,’” network honcho Les Moonves said in a statement. Added Letterman, playfully, “Les and I had a lengthy discussion, and we both agreed that I needed a little more time to fully run the show into the ground.”

• Rescue Me vet Larenz Tate is making his way to The Mindy Project, EW.com reports. He’ll play a charming politician who butts heads with Mindy on several issues.

Oscar winner Peter Fonda has joined HR, Lifetime’s drama pilot starring Alicia Silverstone (Clueless), The project centers on the Director of Human Resources (Silverstone) for an international conglomerate who, after suffering a brain injury, adopts a less rigid and more offbeat approach to her job. Per The Hollywood Reporter, Fonda will play a founder of Ellen’s company.

Hot In Cleveland has tapped a trio of guest stars for Season 5: Jason Priestley drops by as a movie star who Melanie had a crush on in high school, EW.com reports. The Wrap, meanwhile, has learned that Sean Saves the World‘s Thom Lennon will play an FBI agent looking into Victoria’s husband’s disappearance. All My Children‘s Susan Lucci is also slated to return to the TV Land comedy as Victoria’s nemesis.

Hallmark Channel has given the green light to the Eric Mabius-starring Signed, Sealed, Delivered, a 10-episode series centering on a group of postal detectives who deliver letters from the past.

CBS Television Distribution has renewed its syndicated talker Rachael Ray for two more years.
