Hello ladies and gentlemen, Muldoon here with an oddity - a SATURDAY SHORTS dedicated to a contest. No, I'm not getting paid fat stacks of cash (or even a nickel's worth of coinage) from the folks behind ABCs OF DEATH 2, nor have I even run this by them. This completely free reminder of that film's existence is just something I had to do. I've had my inbox flooded with "M is for..." things and I wanted to give them all equal footing. So here I am with some of my favorites. I've seen "M" stand for practically everything (except... well words that don't start with that letter of course.) and am genuinely a fan of the ABCs OF DEATH's plan. "Muldoon, just what the hell are you talking about?" As 99% of you are already aware, back in 2012 Drafthouse Films and Magnet Releasing put out a film, an experiment of varying degrees of success. Each letter of the alphabet is a short wherein there's death. ("Wait? Just like the title implies?" Yes.) And it was such a hit, that the powers that be thought to go back and do another one. This time we've got a twist, they've brilliantly left the letter "M" out and built a contest around it. Folks from all over were/are invited to submit a short, with one lucky film landing in the movie. Genius marketing concept: Free advertisement and free content all rolled into one. I like it, because it's managed to motivate
