Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is about to drop the hammer — Thor’s hammer.

The ABC drama, which takes place in the same universe as feature films such as The Avengers, Iron Man and Captain America, will air a November episode that picks up where the upcoming movie Thor: The Dark World leaves off.

Dark World, the sequel to 2011′s Thor, will bow in theaters Nov. 8. Less than two weeks later, in the Nov. 19 episode of S.H.I.E.L.D., EW.com reports, Couslon & Co. will deal with the movie plot’s fallout — some of which “threatens to destroy a member of the team.”

And just when you thought the episode, titled “The Well,” couldn’t possibly have any more geek cred: Star Trek: The Next Generation‘s Jonathan Frakes will direct. No Thor characters/actors, however, will appear in the S.H.I.E.L.D. follow-up.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. resumes its 22-episode freshman run on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
