The New Adventures Of Old Christine alumna Alex Kapp Horner has been tapped as the female lead opposite Christopher Meloni and Connor Buckley in Fox's untitled Justin Halpern & Patrick Schumacker comedy pilot (aka I Suck At Girls), from Bill Lawrence's Doozer and Warner Bros TV. Based on Halpern's book, the single-camera comedy tells the story of a boy becoming a man, and a man becoming a father, in a time before coming of age was something you could Google. It centers on a father, Jack Dunlevy (Meloni), and his teen son Frankie (Buckley). Groundlings alum Horner, repped by TalentWorks and Brillstein Entertainment, plays Jack’s wife Joanne who, after years of deftly raising and running the family, she is going back to law school, leaving her husband as a full-time parent for the first time.
Joshua Erenberg (Suburgatory) has landed a young lead in NBC's drama pilot from writer-executive producer Rand Ravich, an emotionally charged action thriller set in and around the world of Washington DC. It follows Marcus Finley (Lance Gross), an idealistic Secret Service agent who finds himself at the epicenter of an international crisis on his first day on the job as the President's son's protection when the son, along with several of his schoolmates, are kidnapped. Erenberg, repped by Luber Roklin and Commercial Talent, plays Anton, a genius student whisked away into the woods by the wounded Finley to save him. He is next seen in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone.
