The open-world survival horror game Darkwood looks amazing, but like so many other indie projects, its developer needs help. Acid Wizard Studio has launched an Indiegogo campaign to get the funding they need to help finish the game, and if enough people contribute there are very cool stretch goals waiting to be unlocked, including an “Epic” difficulty mode, DLC, and even two-player co-op.
For the unfamiliar, Darkwood is a top-down horror game that randomly generates a unique world every time you play. It’s about exploration, and carries many of the traits from the Roguelike genre — permadeath, character perks, and challenging gameplay — as well as weapon crafting and some intensely freaky environments. Head past the break for its quirky campaign video.
If this tickles your fancy — and I know it does — you should most definitely support it on Steam Greenlight.
