Bloody-Disgusting is thrilled to team up with Hollywood, CA rockers Black Lodge to premiere the music video for “Drag”, the latest song from their upcoming debut album The Diary Of Tomahawk. The video, directed by Tanya Dahl, continues the story of female protagonist Tomahawk from the “Never Clean” video as we follow her journey into the world of dark magic and the shadowy world therein. Full of mystic imagery, the video is well worth checking out below.
Black Lodge founder and lead guitarist Johnny Royal explains, "In chapter 2 [Drag] of The Diary of Tomahawk, we begin to see the storyline unfold a lot more. Key characters are revealed and the nature of who they are begins to be seen. Tomahawk stumbles into a ritual being conducted by a coven of witches who are a part of The Great Lamia. During the ceremony, the Grand Master of The Great Lamia, Breviculum, is seen invoking the spirit-birth of the demi-god, The Raven. Tomahawk is given an ancient Akkadian-Sumerian celestial map and is offered the choice of finding out who she really is and where she is descended from."
“Drag” was recorded at The Real Creative and was co-produced by Jeordie White (a.k.a. Twiggy Ramirez of Marilyn Manson and A Perfect Circle fame) as well as Lee Miles (Rise Against) and is mixed by Sean Beavin (Nine Inch Nails). The album will be released this year.
‘The Diary of Tomahawk’, is a 13-song concept album, which tells the story of a young girl named Tomahawk, who after enduring a horrifying experience within her family, begins practicing Dark Magick, and discovers a world of shadows interlaced within her own reality.
