Rock band Wavves has released a music video for “That’s On Me”, which comes from their latest album Afraid Of Heights (iTunes). Directed by Brandon Dermer (of Nekrogoblikon “No One Survives” fame), the video shows a man using various bits of weaponry (such as swords, axes, hammers, etc…) to destroy completely innocent soda bottles, watermelons, and trash bins. Oh, and then he begins completely destroying a pig, slicing it apart piece by piece. Meanwhile, three cheerleaders are wildly celebrating his ferocious mayhem, especially since they know they are about to get stacks of some good old fashioned BBQ ribs. No, I am not joking.
In a post on the band’s official site, they write, “i was homophobic for 'afraid of heights'. sacrilegious for sail to the sun' and now i'm at the healm [sic] of animal cruelty for 'that's on me'. i hope the next video gives you fucking nightmares. my next video is just POV ass to mouth with me and Miley Cyrus.”
The video uses some fantastic slow motion shots so that you can really enjoy each and every bit of destruction. You can watch the video below.
