While Mike Myers' most recent return to feature films proved to be a bit of a disaster, the Love Guru star will now be stepping behind the camera. A&E IndieFilms announced today that Mike Myers will be making his directorial debut with the upcoming documentary Supermensch. The film will chronicle the life of talent manager Shep Gordon, whose career began with a 1968 encounter with Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix. He went on to manage the likes of Alice Cooper, Blondie, and Raquel Welch, and Myers' first meeting with Gordon came in 1991 when he was seeking the rights to an Alice Cooper song to use in Wayne's World. Myers will both produce and direct the pic, but it's unknown when the film might be completed. The documentary will include interviews with Cooper, Michael Douglas, Sylvester Stallone, Anne Murray, Willie Nelson, Emeril Lagasse, and more. Hit the jump to read the full press release.
