Darren Aronofsky's NOAH Delayed to Summer 2014
Aug 22nd 2013, 21:11, by Adam Chitwood

It looks like we'll have to wait just a little bit longer to see director Darren Aronofsky's iteration of the Great Flood.  Paramount announced today (via The Film Stage) that the Black Swan director's biblical epic Noah has been delayed from its March 28, 2014 release date to an undisclosed summer date.  The push is likely due to the film's extensive visual effects, as Aronofsky's vision of the tale involves 11-foot-tall fallen angels called Watchers.  It's also possible that Paramount feels the tentpole will do better in the midst of the summer movie season.  Whatever the case, I'm really looking forward to this one. Summer 2014 is already fairly crowded, with The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Godzilla, and X-Men: Days of Future Past taking up May and Maleficent, Fast & Furious 7, and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes slated for July.  June appears to be the likeliest release date for Noah, though Paramount may not want to create too much competition with itself as Transformers 4 is slated for June 27th.  Hopefully we hear a firm date for Noah soon.
