Ed Sheeran Reveals What Taylor Swift REALLY Meant By 'Shut The F*ck Up' Aug 31st 2013, 18:41, by Liat Kornowski Selena Gomez may have kept a tight lip about Taylor Swift's now infamous "Shut the f*ck up" remark at the VMAs, but Swift's pal Ed Sheeran couldn't keep the truth to himself any longer. At a recent press conference, Sheeran revealed that Swift's snarky remark caught on camera was not aimed at her ex, One Direction member Harry Styles. Instead, just moments before the camera turned to her, Gomez said to Swift she thinks Miley Cyrus is going to win the award for Best Pop Video. In response, Swift told Gomez "Shut the f*ck up," as a friendly reminder that she believes in her. Gomez, as we all know, went on to win that award. Sheeran added that Swift came up to him after realizing her words may be taken out of context and said "I think I messed up." So, a really good friend rather than a scorned ex?
