Ben Affleck to Direct, Executive Produce Fox Crime-Drama Pilot 'Middle Man' Sep 13th 2013, 23:14, by Tim Kenneally Ben Affleck is turning his directorial talents to the small screen. The “Argo” star will direct the crime drama “Middle Men,” which has received a pilot order from Fox, an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap. Also read: Matt Damon Defends Ben Affleck Batman Casting Affleck will also executive produce the pilot via his Pearl Street Films, along with Pearl Street’s Chay Carter. Glenn Gordon Caron (“Moonlighting”), who’s writing the project, is also executive producing. “Middle Man” is set in 1960s Boston and centers on Rudy MacAteer, an FBI agent who sets his sights on taking down the Italian mafia, and inadvertently ends up giving rise to the Irish mob.
