Lifetime is planning some major retail therapy for its next reality venture.
The network has given a six-episode order to the reality show “Million Dollar Shoppers,” revolving around the personal shoppers who tend to the buying needs of the rich and famous.

Each hour-long episode will revolve around three personal shoppers who struggle to meet the fashion needs of their well-to-do and often high-maintenance clients, putting their pride, reputations and commissions on the line to successfully cater to the demands of the privileged moneybags who’ve hired them.
“Empowered with the customers’ credit cards in hand, they execute their savvy, retail sense and fashion connections to purchase what they believe fulfills their tough clients' vision of having the finest luxuries available…first,” Lifetime said of the project. “Will they complete their missions? That will remain to be seen until the clients meticulously review all purchases before approving each and every expense. Each week, viewers will follow the colorful, driven shoppers to see who rakes in the most commission and the ultimate bragging rights.”

The shoppers include 34-year-old Amy Salinger, who refers to herself as “The Garment Whisperer,” and Derek Roche, 30, whose clients include Nicki Minaj, Ne-Yo and Kobe Bryant.
The series will premiere Oct 10 at 10:30, following “Project Runway,” and then segue to its regular 10 p.m. timeslot on Oct. 24. True Entertainment and The Weinstein Company are producing.
