We have written before several times here about actor/writer/producer Kevin Grevioux, the guy who originally created the concept for the Underworld film franchise.and many other things.
And the really great thing about Grevioux is that he's always thinking "outside the box" that they usually want to put black writers and filmmakers in instead creating his own fantasy, supernatural, horror projects.
The bad news is that when they wind up like his upcoming I, Frankenstein starring Aaron Eckhart then dare I say I would rather watch Baggage Claim instead
Grevioux, who wrote the film, is one of the executive producers and has a role in the film as well, has been developing the project for some time and when I first heard about it I was thinking it was going to be an unique and gruesome twist on the classic old horror story
Well that's what I hoped.
Instead, from this just released trailer, it's going to be yet another one of those bloated CGI porno orgy "tentpole" movies that barely has any relation to Mary Shelly's classic novel and is designed mainly to be the first of a Liosgate-keeping-its-fingers-crossed franchise racking in tons of money.
It's all empty and boring razzle dazzle with no substance and instantly forgettable. And, of course, it's a safe, castrated PG-13 to boot which means it's going to be frantically ADD edited within a inch of its life during the action and fight sequences but with no blood, no gore, no fun.
You've seen it all before 1000 times and you can predict every single thing that happens up to its ambiguous ending setting the film up for possible sequels.
When are they going to start realizing that every moviegoer is not some coke bottle glasses wearing 14 year old bullied in school kid with adenoids and I have to believe that even they are tired of this crap too as well.
