Peter Fonda is joining Darren Star’s pilot for Lifetime, “HR.”
The two-time Oscar nominee will play Jonathan Quaff, one of the founders of the company where Ellen (Alicia Silverstone) works, a network representative told TheWrap. The role will become recurring if the pilot is ordered to series.
HR follows Ellen, the uptight director of human relations for a global company who suffers from a head injury. After the injury, she throws standard corporate practices out the window. Some dislike her new ways, others like Fonda’s Jonathan find them refreshing. He’s bowled over by Ellen’s unorthodox and shocking ideas on how to upgrade the company’s image while keeping everyone happily employed.
