The first trailer for James Ponsoldt's coming-of-age entry "The Spectacular Now," which won the Special Jury Prize at this year's Sundance, has landed. Starring Shailene Woodley and Miles Teller, the film centers on the unlikely romance between hard-partying high school senior Sutter (Teller) and introverted Aimee (Woodley). Watch below. "The Spectacular Now" is co-penned by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber of "500 Days of Summer," with Mary Elizabeth Winstead (star of Ponsoldt's previous feature "Smashed"), Brie Larson, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Bob Odenkirk rounding out the cast. Woodley currently graces the cover of the new Entertainment Weekly for upcoming YA would-be franchise "Divergent"; meanwhile, news broke yesterday that she was cut from the upcoming "Amazing Spider-Man 2," in which she was cast as Mary Jane. "The Spectacular Now" hits theaters August 2, via A24.
