Though his latest film, "Blue Jasmine," hasn't even been released yet, Woody Allen is already starting work on his next directorial effort, continuing his annual ritual. And his new leading lady is someone you might not expect.
None other than Emma Stone is being wooed to take on the starring role in the currently untitled project. As is par for the course with the prolific director, everything is being kept under wraps, so all we literally know at this point is that Stone, if talks are successful, will star and that Allen will return to France for the shoot. However, there are some rumbling that the filmmaker was a British actor for the male lead. Send in those headshots guys.
Shooting would likely start sometime this year with a release for next year. Allen's next film, the Cate Blanchett, Alec Baldwin and Louis C.K. starring "Blue Jasmine" will hit theaters this summer on July 26th. Check out a couple of new pics from the movie below, including the first look at Louis C.K. [Deadline/The Wrap]
