Sue Kramer, director of Gray Matters, is set to direct her adaptation of Amy Fine Collins' The God of Driving: How I Overcame Fear and Put Myself in the Driver's Seat (with the Help of a Good and Mysterious Man).
With the shortened title of The God of Driving, the film follows Collins, who is a Vanity Fair contributor and Manhattan socialite, as she is determined to overcome her lifelong fear of driving. She discovers that she loves the road, becomes entrenched in automobile culture and is enchanted by her driving instructor and his past.
Jill Footlick will produce and Marina Grasic will executive produce. It's set to start filming in Spring 2014.
