Unlike most promo featurettes, Paramount Pictures' seven minutes of behind-the-scenes footage on the making of "Star Trek: Into Darkness" isn't glossily spliced with interviews. It actually tries to capture what it was like during filming on the set of the J. J. Abrams' film. (It's not completely spoiler free: watch with caution.) The video features the returning ensemble of Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, and John Cho, plus new cast members Benedict Cumberbatch and Alice Eve. Released on IMAX 3-D on May 15th, then 2-D and 3-D on May 17th, "Star Trek: Into Darkness" has scored mostly positive response from early reviewers. More on the 3-D aspect of the film here--as well as more clips here. Abrams talks to the NYT here.
