The rich continue to get richer, as Christopher Nolan's INTERSTELLAR has added Matt Damon to its impressive cast. Already, we knew that Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine, Casey Affleck, John Lithgow, Ellen Burstyn, and Topher Grace had all been added and according to Indiewire, Matt Damon has agreed to appear in "a small, undisclosed role" and will only be on set for two weeks.
That isn't the only Matt Damon news they have either. We already have heard this week that he may (or may not) return to his signature role as Jason Bourne, but now Indiewire is also reporting that he has lined up his directorial debut in A MURDER FORETOLD. This film will be based on a New Yorker article about a man that was murdered in Guatemala. Matt Damon had planned to make his directorial debut with last year's A PROMISED LAND but reshoots on ELYSIUM made it to where he had to bring in Gus Van Sant. Damon is very picky now when it comes to the directors he works with. He won't go back to the BOURNE franchise without Paul Greengrass and only seems to want to work with directors he is comfortable with.
