After a long summer of loud blockbusters, you might like a small, fantastic film you can tell your friends about. That movie is Short Term 12. Written and directed by Destin Daniel Cretton based on his award-winning 2009 short film of the same name, Short Term 12 stars Brie Larson and John Gallagher Jr. as a couple who spend their days dealing with troubled teens in a halfway house. The film has won awards at practically every film festival its played at and opened last week to a very strong per screen average. I gave it a 10/10 here on the site when I reviewed it at Sundance.
This weekend, Short Term 12 expands all over California as well as Washington DC, Philadelphia, Boston, Phoenix and Virginia. We want to send you to see it for free.
