While the film won't officially be released into theaters next spring, Fox Searchlight must already be feeling pretty good about their upcoming crime comedy "Dom Hemingway." The studio will be officially unveiling the flick at TIFF next month, well before it arrives in cinemas, and today brings a few early looks at the movie.
A couple of posters and new image of the movie have arrived with Jude Law leading the charge and co-starring a pretty solid roster alongside him, including Richard E. Grant, Demian Bichir and Emilia Clarke. The movie follows larger-than-life ex-con safecracker who sets out with his best friend (Grant) to pick up his payment for keeping his mouth shut for twelve years in prison. Just the idea of Law and Grant trading lines back and forth has us pretty excited. Here's the official synopsis:
Jude Law plays DOM HEMINGWAY, a larger-than-life safecracker with a loose fuse who is funny, profane, and dangerous. After twelve years in prison, he sets off with his partner in crime Dickie (Richard E. Grant) looking to collect what he's owed for keeping his mouth shut and protecting his boss Mr. Fontaine (Demian Bichir). After a near death experience, Dom tries to re-connect with his estranged daughter (Emilia Clarke), but is soon drawn back into the only world he knows, looking to settle the ultimate debt.
"The Matador" writer and director Richard Shepard is the pen and the man behind the camera on this one. "Dom Hemingway" opens on April 4, 2014. [Vulture]
