Disney/ABC DGA Directing Program Submission Period Opens Oct. 1 Sep 30th 2013, 23:30, by THE DEADLINE TEAM The Disney/ABC DGA Directing Program will accept applications from Tuesday, October 1 through Wednesday, November 27. Based in Los Angeles, the two-year professional directing program focuses on potential episodic directing opportunities on Disney/ABC series. Selected participants are offered shadowing assignments with veteran episodic directors, mentoring by Disney/ABC Television Group network or studio creative executives and exposure to industry professionals. Current program director Rob Greenlea made his episodic directing debut last season on Grey's Anatomy and earned a second directing assignment this season. Participating directors have secured assignments on series including ABC’s Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives and Private Practice, ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars  and Disney Channel’s Shake It Up.
