Emma Watson stars in a new project being sold at Toronto titled "Your Voice in My Head," adapted from Emma Forrest's New York Times bestseller with "Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes" director Francesca Gregorini attached.
Forrest's Black List script tells the story of a young, bipolar Englishwoman and the selfless psychiatrist who saves her life. Shooting starts November 4 in New York.
Like her "Harry Potter" co-stars, Watson has devoted much of her time to idie projects, with recent roles in "My Week With Marilyn," "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" and "Bling Ring" – though her most recent film is Paramount's "Noah" epic from Darren Aronofsky.
For Gregorini, "Voice" will be a sophomore solo effort; her first, "Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes," premiered in competition at Sundance and was picked up by Tribeca Films. Before that she co-wrote and co-directed "Tanner Hall" with Tatiana von Furstenberg.
Alison Owen and Michael Benaroya are producing for Benaroya Pictures. International Film Trust announced the package and is handling international sales; CAA reps domestic.
