LEGEND OF CONAN Reboot Moving Forward with WORLD TRADE CENTER Scribe; Arnold Schwarzenegger Still Attached to Star
Oct 1st 2013, 23:21, by Adam Chitwood

Universal is still moving forward with its Arnold Schwarzenegger-fronted Conan the Barbarian reboot, and the studio has now made a big step towards production by hiring a screenwriter for the pic.  Deadline reports that Andrea Berloff (World Trade Center) has been tapped to pen the script for The Legend of Conan, which will see Schwarzenegger return as the titular king, focusing on his efforts to retain his throne as his reign comes to a close.  The actor could use a hit, as all of his previous comeback attempts have failed to make a splash on the big screen. Schwarzenegger's upcoming films include the Sylvester Stallone prison break movie Escape Plan, David Ayer's ensemble thriller Sabotage, and of course The Expendables 3.   The actor is currently filming the zombie film Maggie.
