Lizzy Caplan Lands Female Lead Opposite Seth Rogen in THE INTERVIEW; Joely Richardson Joins Zombie Film MAGGIE
Oct 2nd 2013, 00:00, by Adam Chitwood

A Freaks and Geeks reunion is in the works…kind of.  Lizzy Caplan (Party Down), who played the recurring character Sarah on Freaks and Geeks, has landed the female lead opposite Seth Rogen and James Franco in the upcoming comedy The Interview.  Rogen co-wrote and will co-direct the film with his This Is the End collaborator Evan Goldberg, and Franco will star as a talk show host who, along with his producer (Rogen), accidentally gets involved in a plot to assassinate the prime minister of North Korea.  Details regarding Caplan's role are unknown, but she's an extremely talented comedic actress and should make for a great foil opposite Rogen and Franco.  Caplan can currently be seen on Showtime's new drama series Masters of Sex. Hit the jump for casting news concerning the Arnold Schwarzenegger zombie movie Maggie. Additionally, The Wrap reports that Joely Richardson (Nip/Tuck) has joined the cast of the zombie thriller Maggie.  The film stars Abigail Breslin as a 16-year-old who becomes infected by a zombie virus and is at the mercy of her parents, played by Schwarzenegger and Richardson.  Production on the film is currently underway in New Orleans.
