It looks like there's another place to keep your eye on when it comes to developing news about big movies. The dudes at Schmoes Know have been on tear this week, with a handful of their scoops getting confirmed by the trades and tonight is no different. Just a couple of days after they first reported it, THR confirms that "Terminator 5" is looking for Sarah Connor, and adds that the hunt is on for John Connor as well.
Brie Larson ("Short Term 12"), Emilia Clarke ("Game Of Thrones") and Margot Robbie ("The Wolf Of Wall Street") will be testing to play Sarah Connor, with Tom Hardy on a wishlist for the role of John Connor. And that's not all — John's Dad Kyle Reese will apparently be in the movie and Garrett Hedlund is apparently on a shortlist for part. So many lists! And whoever wins these roles will be playing along with Arnold Schwarzenegger who will be back (sigh, groan) to play Terminator once again. And while this upcoming movie is supposed to be the launch of a new trilogy, it seems they aren't straying too far from what came before.
"Thor: The Dark World" helmer Alan Taylor is at the helm, and it seems he's wasting no time getting onto his next gig. And with good reason: this is one is due in theaters on July 1, 2015.
