Sep 6th 2013, 22:18, by Dave Trumbore

A new clip from Bill Condon's The Fifth Estate features a clash of ideals between Julian Assange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Daniel Domscheit-Berg (Daniel Brühl) over how to handle their involvement in the information war.  It's a great look at the relationship between the two activists and the tone of the film itself, just as yesterday's behind-the-scenes featurette gave audiences a look at the ideology that went into the making of the film.  You can also read up on Matt's review of the film from TIFF 2013 here. The film also stars Laura Linney, Stanley Tucci, Anthony Mackie, David Thewlis, Peter Capaldi, Dan Stevens, Alicia Vikander, and Carice van Houten.  The Fifth Estate opens in theaters on October 18th.  Hit the jump to watch the clip.
