EXCLUSIVE: Private Practice‘s Paul Adelstein is set to star opposite Debra Messing in CBS' untitled  Julie Rottenberg/Elisa Zuritsky pilot (formerly Mother's Day). The untitled comedy, based on an Israeli format, centers on 40-year-old Gabby (Messing) who, in order to successfully navigate through the demanding life of being a mother of three, a lover, a friend and a career woman, constantly lies her way out of and into situations — little lies, big lies, white and at times not-so-white lies. Adelstein, repped by Abrams and Principal Entertainment LA, will play Gabby’s husband Bryan, a good-natured Google employee who loves his wife and family, but doesn’t quite get how much of a burden his wife is carrying. He will next be seen in Return To Zero. Adelstein joins fellow Private Practice alums KaDee Strickland and Taye Diggs who also booked pilots.
