Jane Kaczmarek is the final series regular to join Fox’s Friends & Family pilot, TVLine has learned.
The single-camera project is an adaptation of the British comedy Gavin & Stacey, which follows two very different lovers who try to make a long-distance relationship work.
The project is written by David Rosen (I Just Want My Pants Back), with Jane Tranter, Julie Gardner, Henry Normal and Gavin & Stacey creators James Corden and Ruth Jones also serving as EPs.

Kaczmarek will play Pam, an overbearing, Real Housewife-esque Upper West Sider with zero verbal filter and little volume control. She’s the mother of Jason Ritter’s Gavin and the wife of Kurt Fuller’s Michael.
Alexis Bledel (Gilmore Girls), Kerri Kenney (Reno 911!) and Dustin Ybarra were previously cast in the project.
Kaczmarek is best known as Lois, Malcolm in the Middle‘s beleaguered mom. She’s also appeared on The Middle, Raising the Bar, Law & Order: SVU and Whitney.
