8 pm Undercover Boss (CBS) | ADT bigwig Tony Wells deals with a life-or-death situation while posing as one of the security company’s employees.
8 pm Happy Endings (ABC) | Back-to-back episodes: Brad and Jane’s couples’ game night quickly gets out of hand. After a major development, Penny thinks it’s time to write and stage a play about the Black Plague. Also, Alex and Max are approached to become “tastemakers” (watch a preview clip).

9 pm Vegas (CBS) | Michael Chiklis directs tonight’s episode, in which Dixon and Yvonne visit Violet (returning guest star Anna Camp, The Mindy Project) at a Los Angeles movie studio. Meanwhile, Mia is shocked to see her presumed-dead mother (Melinda Clarke, Nikita) show up at the Savoy.

10 pm Da Vinci’s Demons (Starz) | Series premiere: This “historical fantasy” from Batman Begins‘ David S. Goyer follows the legendary artist/inventor during his turbulent 20s in Renaissance Florence. Tom Riley (Monroe) plays the young genius; the cast also includes Laura Haddock (Strike Back), Lara Pulver (True Blood) and Blake Ritson (The Crimson Petal and the White). (Check out a preview!)
10 pm Blue Bloods (CBS) | Linda stops Danny from questioning a wounded man involved in drug deals and murders. But when he dies during surgery, the couple battles over the judgment call.
