Tyler Perry's freshman drama shattered its ratings and viewership records on OWN last night with 2.6 million tuning in for 2013 The Haves And The Have Nots finale. The show received a 2.21 W25-54 rating, also its best results so far. Viewershipwise, that's up from the 1.77 million who watched the show's 9 PM premiere on May 28 and up from its debut’s 1.57 rating W25-54. That debut was the best launch in OWN's nearly three-year history. Tuesday's Haves And The Have Nots was the third most watched telecast in OWN history, bested only by interview with Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina and the Lance Armstrong episodes of Oprah's Next Chapter which had 3.5 million and 3.2 million viewers respectively. The network doubled its order of The Haves And The Have Nots up to 32 episodes in late June. It then added four more episodes to that order on August 21. The series about the rich Cryer family and their hired help returns to the Oprah Winfrey Network in January next year.

Over on TNT on Tuesday, the Dick Wolf-produced Cold Justice debuted at 10 PM with strong unscripted numbers for the cable station. The procedural series pulled in 2.9 million viewers total with 942,000 among adults 25-54. The only reality series to debut closely for TNT was Boston’s Finest, which garnered about 1.3 million viewers when it debuted on February 27 of this year, when DVR numbers are factored in. Cold Justice follows female investigators Kelly Siegler, a Texas prosecutor for 21 years who has successfully tried 68 murder cases, and Yolanda McClary, a crime scene investigator, as they dig into cold murder cases.  Wolf, Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz and Tom Thayer executive produce.
