Superman/Batman Set To Shoot Early Footage

Zack Snyder's team will be filming in LA this weekend...

Though Zack Snyder and his crew had officially pencilled in a shoot based in Detroit for the Superman/Batman (or is it Batman/Superman?) film and the fact that they’re all still in pre-production mode, it appears they’re getting an early start on some footage, with report that cameras will roll in Los Angeles this weekend.

The team at Latino Review spotted a report in the East Los Angeles College Campus News of the filmmakers showing up to gather shots during half time at an American Football game on the campus. The college’s stadium will be transformed into Gotham City University’s home turf for game between that august seat of learning and rivals Metropolis State University.

As seems usual when camera crews invade sporting events, there will be prizes handed out to keep the crowd entertained and the production has even apparently made T-shirts for the crowd to wear.

Those hoping to spot Henry Cavill or Ben Affleck might be disappointed, as it seems the brief filming time will be used to capture shots of the fictional game and crowd reactions. But who knows? This could be Snyder and co being sneaky. And maybe it’s the match itself that sets off trouble between Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne... Superhero hooligans, anyone? Doubt it…

Whatever the final film ends up being called, it’ll hit US screens on July 17, 2015.
