Daniel Radcliffe has been confirmed to play the lead role of Sebastian Coe in 'Gold', according to The Huffington Post. The film tells the story of the British runner's rivalry with Steve Ovett leading up to the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games.
Since the end of the Harry Potter series in, Radcliffe has gone out of his way to separate himself from the boy wizard, playing roles as varied as Wallace in the rom-com "The F Word" to Allen Ginsberg in "Kill your Darlings".
"Gold" reteams Radcliffe with his "The Woman in Black" director James Watkins.
