Tonight's installment of "Homeland" stars Clark Johnson as murder police, so fans of "Homicide" can turn the volume down and pretend they're watching Meldrick Lewis at work trying to solve a murder committed by the CIA's important new asset.

No Nick Brody again in this seventh, midseason episode. (No Brodys of any kind, in fact, so we don't get to see how Dana is doing with her new name in her new house.) Damien Lewis – who still has second billing after Claire Danes -- has appeared in only one episode this season, but there's a strong hint tonight that he'll be back before long.
It will be interesting to see what transpires between Saul and the incoming CIA director after the events of tonight's installment. Showtime says of "Gerontion":
With his old adversary in custody, Saul makes the gamble of his career. Carrie and Quinn scramble to contain a local police investigation, while Mira finds her marriage at a crossroads.
