James Badge Dale (“Iron Man 3″, “Lone Ranger”) is joining Cate Blanchett in David Mamet’s “Blackbird”. “Dale plays a military major who is trying to discover the truth about the political secrets of his grandfather who worked for the U.S. special ops during the 1960s.” (Deadline)

Dimension has snapped up “Regression”, a suspense thriller from director Alejandro Amenabar that will star Ethan Hawke. ” Amenabar returns to the English language terrain on Regression, which is set in 1980 in a small Minnesota town where a man is arrested for sexually abusing his daughter. He admits his guilt despite having no memory of it. With the help of a psychologist, he relives the memories and implicates a police officer as his partner in crime. The man's estranged son and other townspeople are also suddenly able to relive suppressed memories of horrific abuse. At the same time, the local news reports blame a Satanic cult that has been performing rituals of orgies, assault, killing animals and even babies, for years. The officers are alarmed when similar reports come in from all around the country—they believe they've uncovered a national and possibly supernatural conspiracy.” (Deadline)

Sienna Miller is joining Ryan Reynolds and Ben Mendelsohn in “Mississippi Grind”. “Down on his luck and facing financial hardhip, a man teams up with a younger charismatic poker player in an attempt to change his luck. The two set off on a road trip through the South with visions of winning back what has been lost.” Production begins on the film in New Orleans in January. (Deadline)

Andrew Garfield and Michael Shannon are set for “99 Homes”, set to begin production in a couple of weeks in New Orleans. “Set against the backdrop of the economic crisis, the drama revolves around an unemployed contractor who gets evicted from his family home with his mother and his nine‐year old son. Desperate to get his home back, he strikes a deal to work for the powerful, greedy, charming, gun‐toting real estate broker (Shannon) who evicted him. While it puts a roof over his daughter's head, becoming the broker's apprentice puts the contractor in a moral bind: is having a home worth losing your values and soul?” (Deadline)
