Public relations executive, documentary producer and philanthropist Jane Lipstone died today at her home in Los Angeles. She was 82. Lipstone served as Vice President of Public Relations for The Landsburg Company where she headed PR efforts for several TV shows including Those Amazing Animals, Gimme A Break, Kate And Allie, and In Search Of... as well as dozens of movies produced by the company. In 1988, Lipstone began producing medical and health-related documentary films, and educational and fundraising videos through her Jane Lipstone Productions. Her projects include The 8-Week Cholesterol Cure, hosted by Larry King, Campaign For The 21st Century, featuring Kirk, Michael and Peter Douglas, and The Crying Classroom, with Carrie Fisher. Lipstone also headed several fundraising efforts for Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She served on the hospital’s board of directors and was elected a Life Trustee in 1993.
