Hey Atlanta! S&A's Tambay In Conversation w/ Director Mahamat-Saleh Haroun On 11/9
Oct 8th 2013, 22:31, by Tambay A. Obenson

For those in the Atlanta (GA) area, or who will be in the Atlanta area during the weekend of November 9...

Presented in partnership with the BronzeLens Film Festival and Africa Atlanta, this year's France-Atlanta at the BronzeLens will pay tribute to one of Africa's most prominent contemporary filmmakers, Mahamat-Saleh Haroun.

The tribute will include a mini-retrospective of Haroun's work - Bye Bye Africa (1999); A Screaming Man (2009); and his latest, Grisgris (2013) - which will be followed by a conversation with the internationally revered filmmaker, moderated by yours truly, Tambay A Obenson

During our conversation, Haroun will talk about his career, cinema in his home country of Chad, continental African cinema, past, present and future, and more.

Needless to say, I'm simultaneously thrilled and nervous about the honor to lead a conversation with Monsieur Haroun, but it's a healthy anxiety. One thing it guarantees is that I'll most certainly be well-prepared for the that evening.

WHEN: November 9 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
WHERE: Georgia Pacific (133 Peachtree St Atlanta, GA 30303)

The BronzeLens Film Festival takes place in Atlanta from November 7 - 10, 2013.
