Nov 13th 2013, 01:21, by Jethro Nededog

Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman (“Sleepy Hollow,” “Hawaii Five-0″) are developing an adaptation of 80s anthology series, “Tales From the Darkside,” for The CW.

Written by Stephen King’s son, Joe Hill (“Locke & Key”), the script is being developed into a half-hour series with the potential of airing next summer, an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.

The project is described as a reinvention of the horror/fantasy/thriller anthology series based on the 80s series by George A. Romero and comes from producers, CBS TV Studios.

Mitch Galin, Heather Kadin and Jerry Golod are also executive-producing.

The CW, like all the broadcast networks, have been investing in year-round programming.

This is the second project placed with CW for Kurtzman and Orci. They also have an untitled sibling terrorist drama at the network with Corinne Brinkerhoff (“Elementary,” “The Good Wife”) attached to pen the script.
