Aereo Puts Chicago Launch On Hold Sep 27th 2013, 22:51, by DAVID LIEBERMAN, Financial Editor Aereo CEO Chet Kanojia didn’t hint at any problems on Tuesday when he addressed the Goldman Sachs Communacopia Conference. He told investors there that his streaming service expects to be in 22 cities by year end. “The goal is to keep knocking these cities out.” But the company said today on its blog that “Earlier this month, we embarked on our beta test in Chicago and encountered issues with our beta site. As a result, we have delayed our launch in Chicago.” No word on how long this could last. The company asked consumers to be patient “until we've found the right solution.” In June the company said it would be up in Chicago on September 13 and stream programming from WLS-TV (ABC), WFLD-TV (FOX), WMAQ-TV (NBC), WBBM-TV (CBS) and WYCC (PBS) along with special interest and foreign language channels and Bloomberg Television. |
