And a new featurette about the movieAs the film itself approaches like a giant dark ark headed for Greenwich, the marketing blitz for Thor: The Dark World is heading to the next level. Courtesy of Yahoo, we have a new featurette with the cast and crew talking about the movie and two new character posters for the film, which are available to view lower down the page.
Though the featurette is a little basic, especially if you’re already well versed in the lore of Thor and co., Hemsworth, Hiddleston and co talk up what Asgard will be facing this time: the Dark Elves led by the evil Malekith. And yes, there’s a lot of the trailer interspersed here, so you may have seen most of the footage already. Still, it’s good to know the lads are excited for the film, eh?
Poster-wise, fans will be happy to see that Christopher Eccleston’s baddie Malekith gets his own poster via Entertainment Weekly, while Marvel has the exclusive on Idris Elba’s Heimdall. {Thor: The Dark World Malekith Heimdall Posters}
The only people who may be upset are fans of Zachary Levi, who is taking over the Fandral role and is one of the few characters not to have gotten his own image. Let’s hope that’s remedied soon, because A) we want to see what he looks like properly in the part and B) the gates of Asgard itself may not be enough to keep out the rage if it doesn’t happen.
