First Trailer For Tyler Perry's 'A Madea Christmas' Arrives
Sep 25th 2013, 23:21, by Tambay A. Obenson

Just when you thought it was going to be a Madea-free year... not-so fast my friends!

It should be clear by now that Tyler Perry is good for at least 2 movies a year. His Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor did decent box office (relative to budget) over the course of its theatrical run that started in March.

And he'll be taking us out of 2013 with a second movie set for release just in time for the Christmas holiday (December 13) - this one titled Tyler Perry's A Madea Christmas, which Perry is of course writing, directing and starring in, along with Tika SumpterChad Michael MurrayLarry the Cable GuyKathy NajimyEric Lively and Anna Maria Horsford to name a few.

Here's the official synopsis from Lionsgate:

Madea gets coaxed into helping a friend pay her daughter a surprise visit in the country for Christmas, but the biggest surprise is what they'll find when they arrive. As the small, rural town prepares for its annual Christmas Carnival, new secrets are revealed and old relationships are tested while Madea dishes her own brand of Christmas Spirit to all.

I'll take a wild guess and say that the surprise is that the daughter (probably Tika Sumpter's role) is in a relationship with a white man (Chad Michael Murray). Just a guess...

By the way, there was rumor going around that YouTube celeb Sweet Brown (of "Ain't nobody got time for that" fame) has a role in the film, but nothing's been confirmed. One thing I will say is that Tyler Perry did post the original video of her that went viral, on his Facebook page last year, saying that it had him "in stiches" from laughing so hard. So he's certainly been aware of her; meaning, he could very well have indeed cast her, likely in a cameo type of role.

But we'll see eventually...

Here's your first look at the film via a 1-minute teaser trailer:
